the majority of catering veg oil contains a silicon based anti foaming agent which some say can be harmful to your motor but I haven't found it to be a problem at all. I personally wouldn't worry about it as it's such a tiny amount.

Any off the shelf rape, sunflower or mixed oil is fine. Infact the majority of oils are fine though they may not be legal :D

svo comes under the same rules as bio-diesel.....bin legal for more than a year now so long as you use less than 2000l

cheers guys i will be buying some then well get my mate who works at asda haha !! buy in bulk if i can cheers

I ran a 300D merc on it for a while a few years ago. Use to run far better on WVO than it ever did on virgin oil.
Used Vegetable oil, filtered and dewatered was the best.
Ultimately if you're serious about running on it, its a good idea to do a titration test on the stuff you intend to use. Also, replace any fuel system silicone seals with viton seals (on the injectors for example).
