My back brake light has been out for quite some while - months and months ( couldn't initially work out how to replace the bulb - whole light unit came out as one - instead of just the red plastic )

anyway -new bulb fitted and have now noticed something new ( or maybe it's been there for ages and Ive never noticed before )

when I brake - the side front lights come on now too as well as my back red lights


so is this normal and i've just been unobservant for 11 years or is it not meant to do this
