P reg is not Disco 2.
Will be Disco 1 face lift (known as 300 series after the 300 TDI).
Afraid I cannot answer the question however, a search on e bay shows only one type coming up for Disco 1, and one even lists it as suitable for a Disco 1 or 2. Hardly scientific evidence i grant you, but I'd take a guess on yes.

Nope, they're different. 200TDi has a couple of longish pipes sticking out of it, 300 just has a couple of holes LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 300TDI HEATER MATRIX on eBay (end time 09-Oct-10 11:54:17 BST) and LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 200 TDI HEATER MATRIX NEW on eBay (end time 09-Oct-10 12:14:40 BST)

Well just shows there are a lot of folks on e-bay who don't know what they are selling!
Looks like all the 'Discovery 1 Heater Matrix' i found are actually 300 series.

Still not convinced....
Cant see why they would change the heater matrix just because it was a different engine fitted,
Any how it's not worth the risk, I'll tell my mate it wont fit.

they are diferent if u look under the bonnet of a 200 the heater matrix pipes are on the right if its a 300 they are on the left and it is a complete different unit
