200 and early 300 autos were not edc, edc came out on the (I think) 95 N reg models, when bhp went from 111 to 121. Even the edc models still had a kickdown cable, they had a throttle cable from throttle pedal to a throttle potentiometer under the bonnet, then kickdown cable from potentiometer...

Not done it, but do keep us updated as it is somehting I would like to do to mine in the future. You can get cv props rather than uj props, and I believe the cv style can operate at greater angles with no vibe issues.

I found the old pig tail glow plugs to be better for starting than the newer ones.

They look standard to me. Iirc 200tdi seals on a taper and later 300 ones use an o ring. So where the male/male union screws into the rad it might benefit from some thread sealant. Note td and 200tdi seem to use exact same set up, apart from all the separate updates depending on vin.

If you google battery voltage chart you will se that 11.7 is pretty much shagged. Lots of people think a 12 volt battery is 12 volt, when in fact it is 12.6v when in good health (something you will never see on a d3!) batteries typically have 6 cells at 2.1volts per cell x 6 gets you the 12.6...

Iirc remember correctly the throttle will be in the idle position and any link rods inside go in the holes that relate to the code not the model but the actual code for that inj pump.

How old is the battery? If only doing short commute you'll be lucky to get two or three years out of a battery. I assume you have checked it is charging?

If you are doing piston rings you are going to be doing the head gasket anyway. I assume you have a smoke problem?
