Well it is a race to finish now, I've just had a look for the MOT expiry date on my Disco and cant even find the MOT. The previous ones all dated March 3rd so I presume it runs out on March 3rd 2013  Thought I had at least six weeks to get 90 on the road.

Dont know the best way to go about it really, one job at a time probably so I'll have to make a list.

rear axle
brakes
power steering
hand brake
interior panels
put doors and catches on
grill etc to go on
bumper to go on
exhaust to go on

I've got a week to do it, not a snowball in hells chance:(:(

Where are you lpoolallen?? got some jobs for you to do mate, pretty please:)

Checked on the DVLA website and my mot is due on 5th March so I've got till Tuesday:)

Had to put new glow plugs in the Disco today and deliver a car for my brother so not much done.

Got rear axle nearly off, just brake hose and 'A' frame ball joint and its ready to lower off. can I just remove the two bolts that hold the ball joint bracket on (1st pic) and take axle off does anyone know please, looks like I can.
Can start work on it tomorrow afternoon with a bit of luck:)

Got one spring longer than the other from the rear.
Thought only 110's had different lengths

Any way, axle steamed off and getting on with spring platforms, ground the old ones off ready for new ones to be welded on.

Decided on black for the axle, plenty paint on to preserve it and also look good:)
