L322 hard staring occasionally

As title 2002 V8 M62 with PLG, sometimes struggles to start from cold, as if it has fuel leak back, anyone had a similar issue and cured it ?
New spark plugs
Air filter
I run it on Shell V power when not on LPG

Any assistance appreciated

I'd be more worried about the staring, that's quite unsettling from a 3t machine......

Can you see any live data, I. E engine coolant temp or air temp before initial startup?

No live data is meaningful, It's as if I get fuel leak back, but there is no petrol leaking anywhere when running ??

Is it starting on petrol or lpg?

On petrol as it should

Could one or more lpg injectors be leaking? I've had a failure where one injector would stick open and fill the manifold with lpg

Have you checked for error codes?

Lpg is not actually switched on at the main solenoid until warm (5-6 minutes)

No, but there will be pressure in the system until it's switched off. If an injector is leaking slightly, then over a few hours it could dump plenty of lpg into the manifold, it would just sit there with nowhere to go into you try and start up again

It will at least rule out the possibility. Pull the connection to the lpg solenoid so it can't open.

Ill go even further and remove the input pipe in case the solenoid is at fault

Then i suggest you turn off the supply at the tank, you don't want to encourage a big bang!

If the main Gas solenoid is shut (system off/fuse out) and it won't start well on Petrol then it isn't an LPG issue?

Isn't that normally a favourite when they're hot?

Coolant sensor misreading a cold engine, air intake sensor can do the same.. But if the live data is not meaningful then working blind deffo isnt....
