    @Saint.V8

I have to admit, you have done a very comprehensive bunch of work, more than most would have attempted to try and correct the fault and keep the system in fine fettle, so little else I could add aside from...the only thing that I would next consider is a crack in the valve block causing pressure...

Good new year cheer to yourself too Keith, As reliable as Diesel Jag X types can be yes! I hope all is well with yourself and work on your property in France is keeping you well out of mischief! What Ho Fella, That gif did make me chuckle, I am more this guy to be honest: Yeah, even the...

Hi, Sorry for the tardy reply and thanks for the wonderful comments eluding to my knowledge - although I am not sure I am THAT much of a guru, just a battle-hardened L322 Vet..... That said - whats the issue and I *may* be able to help! Yep, still in Dorset and the tribe are well - missing the...

    M62 VANOS REMOVAL TOOL?

Can't remember if my timing kit came with the socket - been ages since I looked at it.

    Semi-strange question - why L322 is a 'truck'?

It is generally considered anything north of Watford is 'Up North' if you ask me!

    Disco 3 (LR3) Steering Angle Readings....Curious!

Hi Martin, Never did get to the bottom of this one - in fact, thanks for reminding me of this post...I guess I should close this out. Despite changing the EPB, ABS Module, SAS, Yaw Sensor, remaking all the wiring, giving it a new power feed and ground, changing the Transfer Case Module for a...

    L322 issues

Does the triangle look like a mountain? if so, it is in Low Range - hence why your speed is so slow.

L322 Fixed (Sort of) - Every single module in fault. Where to start?

As above - sounds like a issue on the CAN.....start unplugging modules in turn until you find the one dragging it down....measuring the CAN resistance could also help.

L322 Totally Random Complete Electrical Shutdown....

No, never did - it stopped doing it just as randomly a it started doing it! All the above suggestions are good info to start on....check all earths, check all positives, check the fusible links, check connections to all three fuse boxes....check the pyro charge on the positive lead etc....all...

    Disco 3 (LR3) Steering Angle Readings....Curious!

Yesterday I took some time to run some tests on the CAN - it is a long video where I disconnect everything from the CAN and one at a time connect an ECU and restest the voltage, then disconnect that and connect another one etc etc....so it took a short while - the vid is abot 37 minutes...

    Disco 3 (LR3) Steering Angle Readings....Curious!

There is a terminating resistor in the Yaw Sensor and a second i nthe ABS module as the Yaw Sensor is connected to the ABS sensor via its own mini CANbus.... 120Ohm reading was because Ihad the TCCM disconnected which took the ABS Terminating Resitor out of the equation! I have a couple of...

    Disco 3 (LR3) Steering Angle Readings....Curious!

Measured the voltages on HSCAN H and HSCAN L again - still reading a 1.34 - 1.37V ......hmmmmmm So went round unplugging in turn all the ECU's on the HSCAN on my D3 SAS - No Change EAS - No Change Terrain - No Change SRS - No Change ECM - No Change TCCM - No Change EPB - Voltage jumped to...

    Disco 3 (LR3) Steering Angle Readings....Curious!

Further to: EDIT: DISREGARD THE BELOW - I HAD THE TCCM MODULE DISCONNECTED HENCE THE NO CONNECTION AS THE CAN LOOPS IN AND THEN OUT OF THIS>>>>>>doh!!!! Just been out to recheck some readings..... HSCAN H to HSCAN L resistance reading (battery disconnected obviously) is now reading...

    Disco 3 (LR3) Steering Angle Readings....Curious!

Oh, I could be wrong, but from what I had researched previously CAN Low can be read as 1.33 to 1.5V - I will read the article with gusto and recheck! As per the wiring diagram: The Sensor receives 12V from Fuse 37 from what I can deduce.

    Disco 3 (LR3) Steering Angle Readings....Curious!

CAN works fine and CAN Low should read 1.3 - 1.5vdc from what I have researched previously. Also, Signal Ground and CHassis ground are the same thing and resistance between both is full continuity. Also CAN High and CAN Low both share the same ground so it is not a CAN Low ground issue as it is...

    Disco 3 (LR3) Steering Angle Readings....Curious!

Figures don't change at all - stuck at those in the video. Voltage to sensor is 12vdc from fuse 37, the same fuse that feeds voltage to the ABS ECU on pin 25 I think it is (Light Green). All other sensors report int othe ABS Module fine, Brake Switch is fine, all speed sensors read perfectly...

    Disco 3 (LR3) Steering Angle Readings....Curious!

All earths check out perfectly, annoyingly!!! I will check the other areas you mention when I have calmed down a bit as this is doing my nut in at the moment! I gave the Yaw Sensor a new earth and also a new positive direct to the battery: But made feck all difference - I even unplugged the...

    Disco 3 (LR3) Steering Angle Readings....Curious!

Cheers bud - I did a temporary replacement of the Yellow/Brown and the Yellow/Black wires as shown in the video to take any issues with those wires out of the equation - same faults and same Live Data readings. Next I intend to do a direct connection to battery (which is the Light Green wire)...
