    Ever happened to you?

Range Rover Evoque Van. What's one of them ?

    Ever happened to you?

That is a toughy, I am sure the first garage will say they done their best and did the repair you agreed upon. I would go back explain what the issue was and cost, but go with the expectation of receiving nothing but with the attitude of helping them out. It may save a future customer and they...

    It is a Freelander 1, 3 Door ? 2005

    Freelander V Discovery

They are very different vehicles, especially with regard to maintenance. Unless it is very cheap you need as much service history as possible.

    Ever happened to you?

I have no idea of MAF sensor cost but they are very easy to change. As pictured it is fitted to airbox and secured by two torx screws, T20 ? Could they have meant MAP sensor which is a little more difficult ? A PCM clear should have been run on a diagnostic to clear the fault code once changed.

Discovery 5 Inner rear lights not functioning, because Italian design!?

Don't know about the Disco' 5, but on the Sport both Tailgate and body tail lights work on all models. The only difference being Rest of World or North American Spec'. The NAS having a side marker light. Unsure if it of any help, but again on the Sport, it is the same feed from the BCM splicing...

    Squeeling noise from front wheel

I was going to suggest the back plate but some pads are of different material which can induce a squeak.

    2007 Freelander locking itself

I have heard of cars having issues with fobs in certain areas due to signal issues, but not random locking. Have code read and check KVM/RFA modules and receivers for wiring issues and damp.

    Glow plug heater

Really could be many things. Start by disconnecting negative battery terminal, leave off for a good 5 minutes. Battery reset is a basic and quick check. Have you checked both engine and passenger compartment fuse boxes ? You really need a proper code reader as after the basic checks you are...

    door handle locks

So if you buy a RHS door lock and fit in place of your current passenger lock I think that should answer your problem. Of course you will need to check your current lock to see what parts you need. Barrels are available from specialists that will match your current key, but of course this comes...

    door handle locks

I may be missing something but could the answer to both questions be to fit locks from the opposite Drive vehicle ? Don't think any lock available for Disco'2 rear tailgate. Did Discovery 1 have one ? Also Maurizio you may want to try drying out the keyless receiver under the headliner.

JENSEN INTERCEPTOR V8 LAND ROVER BARN FIND

    Starting diesel

Other than modern cars I have always started diesels with Clutch and Accelerator down. Use glow plugs if required and lift foot off when it starts or hold down if it struggles. Done it with my TD5 and current 5 Bearing 2.5 in Series 2A. Have you checked other possibilities ? Fuel or Glow plug.

    Freelander 2 buying advice

There was no wired link between the receiver at the rear and screen upfront. Wire from camera to box at rear, that was earthed with supply from reversing light so it only worked when reverse selected. Camera upfront had it's own supply from fuse box. that was it. With regard to the Evoque, I...

    Freelander 2 buying advice

I fitted rear camera on my D2. Wireless system I bought at the Classic show few years back. Easy to fit, small camera screwed to rear bumper, I had it angled to see towbar. Wire went to small receiver behind removeable plastic panel in boot, power taken from reversing light. Screen was upfront...

All terrain tyres front road rear?

I don't think it critical to have all the same, unlike the Freelander. But my guess is it would not be recommended. If I where you I would, and think that way gives the best on road grip ?

    Height Sensors D2

Don't know how accurate my 'calibration' was but after changing airbags I let car rise to normal height. Turned engine off then disconnected sensor arm, not electrical connection, moved it slowly through it's operation, up and down. Refitted and all was good. While there, with ignition off I...

    Freelander 2 buying advice

I read here that the Autel diagnostic is recommended. I have heard good things about that one. Is it any good for a range of cars, not just LR's ?

Series 2 Any advice on selling Series 2 109?

Joining the Series 2 club would be a good start, but again you can't throw an Ad' in straightaway. Being an early diesel there will be some interest but I reckon Brightwell's is the way to go if you not to precious about the price ? For future, Gumtree is not a bad place to advertise. Not so...
