Hi, I have a 200tdi defender which makes a knocking sound at higher revs, but not at lower revs. It gets louder as the revs build up. A mechanic has had the rocker cover off and found nothing wrong. He did say that there is a tiny bit of play in the turbo turbine, which is wearing something away...
