My mates daughters Nissan Juke has just failed its MOT. Now, I get the new front wishbone, the new discs & pads. But the auto tyre pressure warning light on the dash? I'm guessing its something to do with all of the dash lights HAVING to function correctly. Give me a Landy any day.

Series 3 109 Six Pot Rebuild Thread

There is a certain satisfaction in doing it yourself & making any future maintenance easier for yourself -future proofing! Pity you are so far away - I have a safari roof sitting around - far south west Cornwall. 6 pots rule - apart from V8's of course!

Series 3 109 Six Pot Rebuild Thread

Looking great! As a 6 pot owner who originally intended to rebuild mine with my sis who rebuilt her Series2 on a galvy chassis, this is how I imagined it turning out. Alas it was not meant to be & is presently sitting rather neglected in my yard. Your pics & descriptions would have proven really...

    Rubix

Its probably just remembering its roots - we never succeeded in keeping all of the oil in all of the time in my dads 1960 series 2! I know they like marking their territory. On a positive note, at least the deck of the transporter will now last a little longer with a coating of oil...

    LWB CHASSIS ENGINE MOUNTS

Many thanks. I'll take a look! I know little about the 2.6 & used to think it was automatically manufactured as a one ton, but years ago I remember chatting to a guy who owned a 2.6 12 seater safari. Mine (pickup) does not seem to have exceptionally heavy duty springs or rear axle so I'm...

    LWB CHASSIS ENGINE MOUNTS

Great idea, ta! I was thinking Landrover would try & avoid extra costs by keeping the chassis the same as a standard 4 pot 109. I can't think of anything else that may have needed changing but am still curious of course,

Many thanks. All's quiet on the 'needing to be repaired front' atm. There's still a ton of stuff on the job list but none of it prevents the vehicle performing its duties as a daily driver. A working heater is presently at the top of the list. I think the hose's have come off but I have plans to...

Without, WITHOUT artists in this world. Doh, but you got it anyway. I'm more into writing, but love the instant 'punch' of images. Ha, ha. Keep it up!

    LWB CHASSIS ENGINE MOUNTS

Does anyone know if the chassis engine mounts on a series 3 LWB 2.6 are located in the same place as a 4 pot. I've only had dealings with series SWB's in the past & never had anything to do with a 2.6. I would compare it with my safari 2 & quarter petrol - if I could get to it!

Hello John. Great artwork. In my ex-town of Hayle a regular car/vehicle meet is held once a month, American muscle cars, Rods, vintage 80's, a Mk1 Golf cabriolet at the last in original condition, & even a Massy Fergusson & Fordson Major tractors & 3 Landys this time, one a 107 series 1! A young...

Heathrow - snow! Up country, we get excited whenever we get snow down this far. I'll have to dig my passport out to come up that way! People calling down this way often tell me on the phone they're not far away when they've reached Exeter. Sooo funny! EVERYTNG slows down south of Exeter.

A 1988 90 hardtop, new (non-galvy) chassis fitted before I owned it & is my 1st venture into 'boingy' territory around 5 years ago now with an actual Landy as my previous Landy vehicles have all been Classic Rangies, the first a 2 door V8 manual, the 2nd one sporting a York 6 cylinder & the 3rd...

T.M.P. (Too many projects!) Hey fellow Landy owners from the far south west of Cornwall. Every Landrover i have ever had (there's been a few!)has been my main transport & this seems like the place to hear of other owners experiences.
