    Disco 2 ACE removal

Mine was a 7-seats air suspension vehicle in the past I modified it and it has now OME suspension. So, it’s on coils now. One rear seat has been removed, so, the seats are not a factor to consider. I would like to know which will be better to use as I modify it. Shall I use the thicker ones...

    Disco 2 ACE removal

I would like to repeat my questions, in the hope I will get an advise from you, guys. What are the differences between RGB101310, RGB101320 and RGB000180? @jamesmartin told that these are for air suspension, coil suspension and 7-seats model. My question actually is: which one is better to use...

yes, everyone is driving the car different, and the requirements are all the way different. But I am glad to receive all the opinions and be able to decide easier. I noticed how good was the ACE when I broken it. I really loved it driving fast in corners, but I will get used without it and I...

Transfer box advice, 1.2 or 1.4??

by the way, when driving uphill for longer periods, let's say when I go up in mountains, my automatic transmissions overheats. (the warning light comes on). I suppose that changing transfer ratio from 1.211 to 1.410 will help to avoid the overheat so often.

    Disco 2 ACE removal

guys, I live in Moldova. Our offroading might be different than others. we drive in forests and we have to exclude many parts that might fail in the field. Air suspension, can live on our cars no more than 3-4 offroad expeditions as we have a lot of bushes and trees under our cars. Usually we...

    Disco 2 ACE removal

Mine is converted to coils long time ago, as I prepare it for offroad. I have 7 seats, but I never use them. Which would be better to use? Are they different in thickness? Or do they perform with different forces?

Transfer box advice, 1.2 or 1.4??

My is automatic. the ZF I observe are more affected by bigger tires and other modifications that increase demand on transmission. I cannot say that I had a supercar before, but now it is very slow in acceleration. And the max. speed I am usually drive is 100kph. With current setup, 1.211 in...

    Disco 2 ACE removal

Anyone can help with some explanations what’s the difference between non-ACE bars? I see there are 3 different part numbers, not interconnected. Are they different thickness? I see one it’s for a 7-seat vehicle... RGB101310 - BAR-ANTI-ROLL-UNLEVELLED REAR SUSPENSION LESS ACTIVE CORNERING...

Transfer box advice, 1.2 or 1.4??

I already wear 275/70-18, which is 33.2 inch tall. My next tires will be also 33 inch, as I most probably will go for 255/85-16. So, definitely I have to get back the lost acceleration

Transfer box advice, 1.2 or 1.4??

Ok, now, another question, what do people think about fitting a defender transferbox straight away? This way I will also get the CDL in place.

Transfer box advice, 1.2 or 1.4??

Actually I want to go from 1.2 to 1.4 Yes, I used that calculator. My conclusion is that if I change transfer ratio from 1.2 to 1.4, I get the same results as changing diff ratios from 3.54 to 4.11. The only difference is that I don’t touch low range.

Transfer box advice, 1.2 or 1.4??

I am thinking about changing the transfer box ratio from 1.4 to 1.2. I have currently 33.2 tires, and the car is accelerating very very slow. Also, I have a fuel consumption too high. Will I reduce fuel consumption with 1.4 comparing to 1.2? If I understand correct, the acceleration issue will...

that's the idea though, I have no oil in my system as I removed the pump temporarily after a blown pipe.

    Disco 2 ACE removal

I am thinking about making a special replacement part for this cylinder from solid steel. What would you think about this? I am not good at drawing, but I think the idea will be understable

    Disco 2 ACE removal

so you mean to fabricate a solid-steel bar instead of actuator? right? might be an idea of starting point in order to understand better the next steps wherever I try to get back the ACE or not

    Disco 2 ACE removal

I have no longer liquid in my system as a pipe was blown. The pump is also broken. So I have to choose between: 1. repairing the compression pipes and buying a pump Or 2. Convert the car to regular ARBs, which I will have to look on second hand markets...

    Disco 2 ACE removal

I agree that the ACE has a lot of PROs. I noticed the system on the highway and on national roads when driving fast, entering in curves with speed up to 80-90km/h with no inclination. Now, the pipes are very rusty, so I believe that the repair will give me a lot of troubles additional to...
