Wax oil or old engine oil

I recently applied my old engine oil to the chassis of my defender. Yes it will make a mess if you don't put some tarpaline down to protect where you are doing it. I find that it dripped for a couple of hours after i had applied it but it doesn't drip now and you can see the water droplets...

    Engine seized?

When you say disconect the starter motor and everything works, so you mean the engine then turns without the starter motor connected?

What is Neccesary For a Defender 2 Inch lift?

I would fit the bigger wheels and tyres and see what its like. If you still want more height afterthat then lift it. Don't change too many things at once as if something goes wrong its harder to pinpoint the problem.

    New suspension + rubber advice.

Its up to you. But personally I would go for 235/85/16. I know what you mean by wanting to getit right firsttime. Its alot of money to pay out on tyres.

    Air box valve

Hold on. Its there for a reason. My guess is to let **** and water that gets into the air box out but when sucking air in the valve closes.

    New suspension + rubber advice.

I think you might have your tire sizes mixed up. 285 is the width of the tyre and the 75 is the height bit. Personally I would go for 235 or 265/75 or 85 on the 16 inch rim. The 85's will give you more height than the 75's and also gear the speed up but not by much. The 235'sand the 265's will...

    New suspension + rubber advice.

You shouldn't have a problem with the tyres height wise. But 285's are wide. I have 235 on mine.
