    Rear Shock Bush.

When i did mine i removed the top mounting bracket off the chassis then used an angle grinder to remove the bush. If you use a grinding disc to grind the inner tube of the bush thin you can then split it with a chisel, it saves cutting into the mount. Hope ot helps.

    Roll over protection

When i was looking at getting my cage i thought of just a hoop at the rear, but if you draw a line down from the hoop to the bonnet it would crush you into the dash/steering wheel in the event of a roll over.

    Snapped My Banjo

I've got a set of Sealey easy outs in my tool box but I've never used them so can't say if they're any good. If you try an easy out I'd recommend to hit the stub of the banjo bolt and the surrounding area with a hammer to put some shock through it. Just another idea to throw into the mix. You...

    BZP nuts and bolts

Got to agree that screw cap bolts do look good. But because land rovers are driven off road the head of the bolt tends to get crammed with mud and crud. Meaning every time you want to remove said bolt you have to spent time picking the mud and crud out. Up to you if you want to go for looks or...

    12V Permanent feed fluctuating?

I would carry out a voltage drop test to pinpoint where voltage is being lost. Rather than trying to explain it on here. This is a video of how to perform the test on a starting circuit but cn be applied to your problem with power on to the radio. Voltage Drop Test - Made Easy - YouTube Cheers

    Chassis welding question...

It depends how neat you want it to look. Patch over looks quite rough were as cutting out and welding a plate in can be ground back. Just personal preference.

    Rear diff oil fill

Evening, Just another suggestion to add to the list. Hit the plug with a hammer a couple of time to shock it. Then using a sharp chisel on the edge of the plug tease it round, it might take a few good hits in different places. Cheers

    Diagnose my alternator.....por favor

If all the connections are tight there are two possibilities for the charge light to be illuminated, first is the alterantor is faulty, the second is if you are trying to draw more amps (ie lights etc) than the alternator can supply. The second is unlikely. You can purchase a brush a regulator...

    Internal roll cage

An external roll cage doesn't just add extra vehicle protection, it will also increase the protection of the occupants. If the vehicle does roll over, on an external cage the cage hits the ground first. On an internal roll cage the vehicles sides and roof hit the ground before the cage which...

    Hole in bell housing

Evening all, was checking round the starter connections and noticed a 2" by 1" hole cut in the bell housing. Looked like it had been drilled in the 4 corners and the rest sawn out. it is a R380 in a 1996 300tdi. I don't think it's meant the be there but just to make sure thought I'd ask you...
