    Brake Servo Advice Appreciated

I'm looking at replacing the brake servo on my 1996 300Tdi 90. There's an 'apparent' massive range from £45 up to £250 and everything in between. One of the ones up for £250 even says unbranded  Surely there can't be that many manufacturers to warrent a myriad of different prices...

    300 TDI Door Lock Upgrade

That's how good the locks are. Most things that are thin enough to go in to the key slot will open the lock, so long as they don't bend! I don't know of an upgrade, but that doesn't mean there isn't one.

    Drop arm.

Air vent flap come loose from the cable. The one along where it comes out if the heater box and through the bulkhead. Normally has foam around it so should deadening any sound. o_O

    Drop arm.

Can you remember the old VW Golf advert when a slight squeak was driving the young lad up the wall? An old mechanic, in a remote garage, cured it by putting a tiny drop of oil on his girlfriend's dangly earing. I doubt it's your drop arm ball joint Mickles.:)

Loss of Power on mate's 90

Lots to go on there mate. Thank you. I forgot to say I asked him and no warning lights or engine check light came on.

Loss of Power on mate's 90

My mate has a 60 plate (2010) It's got the Ford 2.2 litre engine, but I can't remember what bhp that model has. He's just messaged to say on his way home it lost a lot of power. Struggled to do 45mph and really struggled to get up any hills. On the drive, out of gear, foot to the floor on the...

    300tdi restoration

Don't upgrade the suspension or brakes. Standard is perfectly fine. Keep it original. Good luck with the rebuild. Or, if you're keeping it original, good luck with the restoration. :)

    A couple of bits I can’t remember…

Evening mate. My wing supports are a different shape to yours, presumably linked to the difference between the 90 and 110. Anyway, I was thinking after looking at your picture, if the two in question are loose, they must have been bolted to the chassis. The other two are still bolted to the...

Wanted Swingaway wheel carrier for 90 (Defender)

Ahh, shame. I didn't think it was that bad. :(
  15. Al2O3

    An odd one!

What grade oil are you using?

    A couple of bits I can’t remember…

Do you mean the rear wing stay?

    An odd one!

When were your tappet clearances last checked?

Wanted Swingaway wheel carrier for 90 (Defender)

@chrisstdt Evening mate. Crikey, I can't believe 8 years have gone by since we posted about this  Did you ever get the wheel carrier fitted?

    Possible swivel problem?

Well done, sounds like you've sorted most of the issues. The brake calipers won't be causing the wheel wobble. If one of the discs is warped, or rusted in one patch, that might be it. My money is on your panhard rod bushes starting to wear.

    Door card clip issue.

The clips you have bought are the right ones for the original door cards, but your replacement cards have a different system. Def90man man might have come up trumps there.
