    Brake issues

Done that, I've marked it up to the level, and then wedged the pedal down, so I will see if there is any fluid loss. I've ordered a master cylinder rebuild kit and I will rebuild the original MC and see if that makes a difference Flexi hoses are good, front two are new, rear is in good...

Hmm, this being the third master cylinder - the original one, then a bearmach one, and then an OEM one - they can't all be duff surely?

    Brake issues

Ok, so I'm almost at a loss as to whats going on. So far: Replaced Calipers (Allmakes pattern part) Master Cylinder (OEM) Brake Servo (OEM) Front Brake lines and flexi's Bled the system multiple times - cannot see any more air coming out of the system Vacuum is good - enough to hold the pipe...

Struggled with an airline. They are soaking in paraffin in my wash tank, see if that helps.

    Wiper Disaster

its pretty easy, i changed both wheelboxes and the motor in an afternoon. its a bit fiddly to get the cable back though, but its not too bad. Take the top panel of the dash off and with a bit of jiggling you can get it out.

    Brake issues

Managed to get some - Sheffield Nut and Bolt company, really helpful guys. Anyway, got everything back together, but still pretty poor breaking performance, but I think this may be the servo, doing some research, it looks like they can crack around the bolt holes, which it looks like mine has...

    Brake issues

Thanks James - I can't find anywhere locally that stocks them, going to have a trip round the local nut and bolt merchants tomorrow and see what i can find

    Brake issues

Anyone know what the pitch on a flexi brake hose is? I know its M10, but all i can find is course threads. Any idea where stocks them that might have them locally, screwfix seem to be all course thread nuts.

I've done that, run at least 5l of fluid though the system with the EZ Bleed kit, but I still have air bubbles, so it must be drawing in air somewhere.

    Brake issues

Given up for the day - started raining. However here are the symptoms: Bleed the system, so there is no air coming out of the calipers, with the pedal pushed to the floor. Pedal is soft and goes to the floor, pump a couple of times, and pedal goes hard, give it a few seconds and pedal goes to...

    Brake issues

Having to do it on my billy-o at the moment. I bought an easy bleed kit which helps. I am fairly sure there is air being pulled in somewhere, I just don’t know where. I’ve checked every joint and union. Only other thing is if the new master cylinder is garbage. It’s an allmakes one

    Brake issues

Right, so new master cylinder fitted. Now the pedal goes straight to the floor first time, but if I pump it a couple of times I get bite, but then if I leave it, and press it again, it goes back to the floor and I have to pump it again. I’ve bled the **** out of the system and I can’t see any...

    Brake issues

No, the opposite - at the moment it’s up on axle stands - there is no bite at all, I think @jamesmartin is right, besides which - the reservoir is pretty manky so i’ve ordered a replacement unit. Thanks.

    Brake issues

Feels like it, there is some resistance - but that is just the resistance of the springs in the pedal. Weird this is the back brakes seem to work ok, but there is definitely no hard bite as I would expect.

    Brake issues

Hi All, I've been changing my disks and pads this weekend, and as part of changing the pads, i wound the calipers back - using the g-cramp method. However, after getting everything back together, no resistance on the brake pedal, rear brakes seem to be fine, but nothing on the fronts - any...

    110 galvanised chassis time

I did see them at the LRO show (sheilder that is) - as far as i could work out, they are pretty much the same chassis specs as Richards in terms of thickness etc. My only comment would be that some of the welds looked a bit untidy, certainly not as neat as Richards or Marsland. I personally...
