Wanted - V8 Petrol Range Rover

LPG is fairly easy to remove. Run it until the tank has discharged, remove the tank and pipework, remove the evaporator, remove the injectors, block the holes in the inlet manifold with appropriately sized bolts. Then disconnect the power to the LPG ecu but leave it in place as most are spliced...

    P38A Surgery

So today I have been in for laparoscopic surgery and the plan was to go home tonight. However as it typical with my body there were concerns once they were in there and they had to back out. Waiting for CT and then a discussion with the surgeon in the morning. Think the options will...

P38A Time has come to say goodbye

So far I have had zero proper interest but lots of views on eBay in the P38 not even a cheeky offer, had a couple of locals have a nose but one just wanted to have a look as he is a land rover fan, the other one has no mechanical knowledge so I would be reluctant to sell it to him anyway. I do...

P38A Range Rover SOLD - 2002 Vogue SE in Olso Blue for sale

It's up on ebay too with others of similar vintage but they are not really moving, wonder if the running costs are just too high at the moment. Don't want to give it away but it has to go unfortunately. Will include any oils and filters I have waiting on the shelf and the USB interface cable for...

    P38A External Temp at - 40c

So today finally managed to get time to look at the issue. Ran up EAS Suite4 and interrogated the HEVAC it showed a sensor short error, probably where I had been unplugging things trying to sort out another issue, anyway cleared the error and it now shows the correct outside temp.

    P38A External Temp at - 40c

That's what I thought looking at all the wiring diagrams, started to doubt myself though but a pure coincidence it happened after I had been fiddling elsewhere.

    P38A External Temp at - 40c

I had to disconnect the battery today so I could check all the connectors on the Becm were properly connected as the dashboard went blank again today. I unplugged and reseated all the connectors and the dash seems to be OK. However the external Temp on the HVAC is showing - 40c everything else...

P38A Time has come to say goodbye

Just put my for sale advert in the For Sale Section. No idea what its worth as prices seem to be all over the place but open to sensible offers from within the community before I stick it up on Ebay.

P38A Time has come to say goodbye

I have been sorting through all the paperwork for the car and noticed it was registered on the 30/04/2002 so must have been one of the very last Vogue SE models to leave the factory. Is there a good online resource to find out more information, like a build spec sheet or similar? Just thought it...

We wouldn't have been able to but one of my pensions has become active just at the right time, another sign of getting old too.

P38A Time has come to say goodbye

I know exactly what you mean, takes me days to recover when I have been working on the P38 plus my wife won't drive either of my cars, ones too fast and ones too big and heavy. I am both sad and happy to have made the decision.

P38A Time has come to say goodbye

Following a recent health problem I have come to the decision to sell both my cars and buy a newer 4x4 that I don't need to tinker with. The Octavia Vrs will go as a trade in and then over the next few weeks am going to get the P38 cleaned and serviced ready for someone new to take forward. Once...

P38A Air suspension not rising in one corner

I have the latest version of the RSW suite and the proprietary cable. Running on a Windows 7 tablet with an adaptor for the USB connection, you could run it on a laptop to. I have made changes to the BECM, disabled the sunroof, disabled the immobiliser plus checked the suspension levels and...

Yep to the top of the reservoir, I will keep an eye on it.

    P38A Brake accumulator?

I have changed the accumulator without any spillage and an immediate improvement in every way. The old one had a bit of fluid in it but also found the brake fluid level was much to high so used a syringe to bring it down to the correct level, must admit hadn't checked it since I got the car...
