ACE removed, have some Questions for you?

I'm surprised at that Sierrafery - most people that 'remove things' seem to do as little work as possible, so here at least the ECU is usually in situ. I just dislike it when people cut/splice plugs rather than doing things properly. I understand it is electrically 'the same', but the point...

ACE removed, have some Questions for you?

Hardly the right way though, eh? I'd be raging if I got a car with the light off, and found someone had spliced ECU plugs rather than disabled things properly by programming! David

    Ace valve block leaking

The pipes usually corrode under the plate that holds them into the seal blocks.

    Disco td5. Bcu replacement

I'd start by describing your symptoms, and what happens. It's pretty hard to help figure out what's going on without a more detailed description David

screech when turning left - steering box?

When I had this it was because the tyres were touching the radius arms when on full lock. Worth having a look at the arms to see if there are scuff marks.

    excessive bump steer

They should have replaced the anti roll bars, as well as removing the ACE pump and fitting an idle roller. Changing the shocks should not have been necessary. David

Power Steering Leak - Output Shaft TD5

Have a look on here, plenty of threads as common problem. The seal *can* be done in situ if you remove the drop arm. *But* changing the seal doesnt always solve the problem as the shaft corrodes, meaning the new seal doesnt 'seal' to it. Some people have done it successfully, but just as...

    SLS voltage diff sensors

I'd be getting my multimeter out and checking the volts at the sensor itself. It's quite possible the wiring is corroded, and the SLABS ECU is fine!

FPR about to replace - quickie

It'll fit. It's because when your original one was made, there was only one design of FPR. When the later (EU3?) spec one arrived, that had the extra pipe. So, they manufacture all of them using the newer casting, where there is a hole drilled/tapped for EU3, and it's left blank for the...

    Noise

Double check the ACE light comes on (if you have/had ACE). I had this symptom when the guy I bought the car off had ripped the LED off the board. My disco2 doesn't do 3 chimes on startup - it's not normal.
