The problem with just changing the compressor is that the water is often still in the inlet pipes, so you put a new one on and it sucks up all the crap. The design of the air filter is poor - it is located behind the rear light cluster, just below the sunroof drain tube (smart!)

It's a good idea, but it isn't that easy (especially on the watts bushes). The Watts bushes aren't actually bushes, they have bearings inside - though I dare say enough heat and the centre assy would fall out. The blowtorch technique ain't new and I have used it with some success. On LR...

You cannot drive around on the road with a locked centre diff as the transmission will wind itself up and then something will break horribly. You can DISABLE the TC if you want to - in fact, if you fit the diff lock manual linkage, the TC will automatically be disabled when this is engaged. David

The SLS/ACE anti roll bar issue is a bit of a puzzle for me. People doing rear air springs->coils never seem to change the anti-roll bar, so I wonder what exactly is different! David

Urban Panzer, have you noticed anything detrimental after de-aceing? My front and pump-pipes are looking pretty rusty though haven't gone through yet. The front ACE actuator is also leaking slightly. I don't mind ripping it all out but if there's much to gain, then I'll try to keep it...
