    In Crawley, West Sussex. Car is partially dismantled. Gear box, engine will be removed for new P38 along with bonnet and tailgate so not much of a full car hence why just breaking for parts.

    P38A Water Leak!!!

    It did but mostly through the join of headlining and pillar cover but you know what's it like it travels where it wants. Maybe remove A pillar cover and head lining in that area and do a water test maybe?

    I'm the same as you bloody typical it's not one of the other exterior seals which can change easily without effecting the pump. Thank you drop me PM when you know might send mine to them. Take care.

    Where are you getting your seals done mate and a cost? Mine is leaking on a main seal where injector pipes bolt on.

    P38A Water Leak!!!

    I had a similar leak it was coming from the top of the LHS windscreen, if you prize plastic trim off you will see the mastic bead. Mine had no obvious hole but tested with water and came though on corner. Covered in mastic and leak stopped. I thought it was coming from sun roof too. Good luck!.

    Has the ecu gone out of sync becm? You could try connected a jump cable from the negative to the ecu body and turn key to position 2 see if injector light and glow plug like come on the try and start it? If so then ECU is faulty. Sorry if missed anything just that I had same issue and it was...

    Thank you. I am looking to replace the seal with pump in place in engine rather than remove it. Noting what you said can it be done this way or is it easier to remove completely? Just looking to replace the seal in the photo which is not the spring end.

    Range Rover P38 2.5 DT ( 2002 MY ) Turbo wastegate

    I have had to buy a new turbo and it is easier and better to remove the exhaust manifold, the tricky bit is the drain pipe from the turbo undo that from underneath first gives you more play and if you have a trolley jack prop exhaust up so can undo bolts and springs. RAVE is good for removing.
