engine starts up on the first turn basically, also runs very smooth. i didnt check the plug on sunday when i sae the car in person but i can check on friday when i see it on the lift. where is it exactly?

ive checked out nearly all in a 150-200km range amd thos is one lf the better ones. im just dont wanna buy a ****box that needs a new chassis in 3 years, im planning to have it as long as possible. its even on the cheaper side for 18k€. the cheaper ones are basically 60% rust and 300k kilometers...

im in austria, and the decision has to be rather fast because there are about 15 for sale in the whole country, 10 os those more than 600km away, in my price range with decent condition and miles on the clock.

it all sounded good to me. crossmembers are the parts that go sideways right? body supports are all good exept 1 and im not sure what you mean with outriggers

hey lads, just wondering, is this alot of rust? these are all the pics i have atm. there is also alot of mud, and i checken the car out i scratched the mud away in some places and the chassis had a silvery colour under the mud. also is the equipe 4x4 stuff good? cheers

hey lads, im buying a 2004 (january) td5 defender 90 with 100k miles (is that alot for a 04??). looking at the chassis, i think its in pretty good condition, but i have nothing to compare it to. theres some rusty parts where body meets chassis. my dad, a huge defender freak, would know...

the thing with the freelander here is, i pay the same insurance as a rr or a disco 4. plus i didnt enjoy driving ours as i felt it seems more like a vw polo too drive. plus, they pretty much cost around 8-15 k, which is my budget but i could get a "nicer car" for that money.

yes. most peoples cars are illegal not gonna lie tho, nearly everyone changes somethere so stuff does get tolerated. but if you for instance hit someone and your air intake is not stock youre gonna be paying that person medical fees for the rest of their life.

we can work on our cars ourselves, but changing a chassis etc is much to expensive. youll probably end up paying more for the "typisierung" which basically makes it legal. something simple as putting in a different air intake makes it illegal if it isnt a tested part and if you dont have it...

sadly my country is REALLY srtict when it comes to repairing and or modifying. but worth a thought
