I've never actually seen, let alone tasted a deep fried Mars bar  It was an Italian chip shop owner in Glasgow who apparently came up with the idea, so technically not a Scottish delicacy ;) I could bring down some Irn Bru though :D Looks like it's going to be the weekend starting Friday...

OK chaps, it turns out there are many beautiful and kindly sorts in here :) I have spoken with one of our esteemed members who is happy for me to use his workshop and is going to endeavour to fetch the Rover through a friend of his and get it to his place. I rock up, drink beer and speak ****e...

Not unless it was already removed... The deal is I remove it and take it up the road. Wife's car does 700 miles to a tank so that's easy enough. Just the thought of driving all those miles and having to remove the engine  Still, it's an amazing offer.

It's currently under debate... I feel it is an amazing offer. But the issue is having to drive eleventy squillion miles to remove yet another engine! If it was sitting in a garden ready to go, I'd leave tomorrow at early o'clock. But I'll need to prepare tools, engine crane and so...

I have spake with a member who has what seems to be a good running lump. I have spend money on many tools and an engine crane load leveler tool as I had some fun (not fun) with my pal while removing the engine. So it looks as if I may have to go to a foreign land and remove a lump :confused...

I have a Dremmel and many many other tools.... But I don't have a "bodge it" tool. So while I understand the "sell it as is" idea, I cannot and will not do that to someone else as it hurts to be shat on and I have enough hurt to end my lifetime and some to pass on in my will. It's not romantic...

I get your doubts. But the indie reported the engine arrived from RPI in a crate and was basically immaculate. He dropped it in at 84k. I bought it at 86k. He did tell me recently that the owner roasted the lump not days after he collected it up from the indie... Turned out to be the AC...
