    P38 V8 4.0 Exhaust Question

Thank you. Don't suppose you know the outside diameter of the pipe? My fancy caliper has gone boobies to the sky

Help I drop the one and only key for my P38 in the sea

According to Les, they've spent a fortune on coding equipment and many happy customers. The only fly in the ointment is they are not flip keys, just standard bladed like Discovery or some such. He works with AA as well. I asked a while back as I have AA key cover... Anyway, he's a member...

    P38 V8 4.0 Exhaust Question

Anyone know the outer diameter of the exhaust between the cat(s) and the flange for coupling to the centre box? I want to cut the flange off, add bends and straights to allow twin pipes front to rear after the cats. I had to order a pair of rear boxes from the local indie (Bearmach ones) so my...

That makes me feel better. The rise is tiny and not all the time.... I just wondered if it was normal. Thanks

Valve block was serviced last year and new seals inserted. One thing she doesn't do is fall down overnight or even if left for a week . I tend to leave her at full height to prevent wrinkles in the airbags.

Checked absolutely everything and was left with only the motor and as it happens, it let me down (literally and figuratively )mat the weekend. I found my spare motor that had been changed because it rattled, popped it in and then had hilarity with my laptop. EAS unlock couldn't find a...

Rather than excising the valve block, I could simply undo the can for the balls and invert it to see what's at the bottom I suppose...

I've checked in case the pipework looked like Daniella Westbrook's nose, but no sign of white powder....

Is that not the part with the balls?

OK, still curious... Needed to inflate my bike tyres (my old mountain bike been in the garage unused since the week before my accident so flat tyres). I plugged into my line, turned the valve and a healthy hiss. I inflated the tyres so plenty air on tap. I plugged in my jump wire and let the...

    Suspension Suspicion...

When I said inconsequential, I meant it's from the block to an airbag not the pump as such. So it isn't the tank or the pipework from/to the tank. It's so small, the car will sit on high for well over 2 weeks (at least that's the longest I've left her recently without moving). I can find no...

OK chaps, all pipework checked and fine (teeny weeeeeeny leakage from one of the pipes from the valve block to the front air bag...But so small it's inconsequential. No leak form the VB to the air storage tank at either connection or the pipe itself. While I was at it, I checked the desiccated...

Indeed, but the reason I asked was why does it fill quicker by simply putting a jump wire on than if I start the engine? Even if I leave the door open for 10 minutes it takes an age, but by not starting and bypassing the relay it took mere seconds...and the relay is fine! Maybe I was lucky and...

    Suspension Suspicion...

I had that the 1st time around, after I'd rebuilt the pump and valve block, the suspension wouldn't rise so I investigated. Found the leak at the pipe above the left back box, so I bought new pipe and re-routed it well away from the exhaust. This time it goes over the middle of the chassis...

    Suspension Suspicion...

My old bus is taking a while to rise after a 1st start. I bought a pump kit, but it was just done last 3 years and I've only done around 18k miles in that time. So before I start stripping stuff, I thought I'd mes around. I plugged in my airline and fired up the pump by removing the relay and...

    Re-badged

Ha ha ha, good comeback :D I have a pair of jen yoooo ine Land Rover spotlamps with P38 mounting bracket. The back of the reflector units started to corrode, but it's barely noticible on the shiny side and I covered the backs with lacquer to prevent it getting worse. I have one of those light...
