So it is the sport, not the "full fat"
Makes a difference as the drivetrain will be different. @gstuart is our resident d3/sport expert, hopefully he may have some ideas.
Just hope it's not a broken crank!
On mine, you can set it so that above a certain injector pulse width it switches over to petrol. You normally have to have a couple of cycles of overlap between the two though or it clunks when it switches over.
You can feel it switch on mine at about 4k RPM if your foot is buried in the shag pile.
Maybe this is why I've not needed flashlube.
I often run out of lpg and won't go out of my way to fill up so quite often gets half a tank of petrol through it.
Also, if you floor it, it changes over to petrol for extra punch which probably helps.
Better buckle up if you think that is vitriol!
Generally, opinions are given and knowledge is correct but some things can become a bit heated from time to time.
I think the general consensus on lpg is that there's not really anything wrong with it but you need to do a lot of miles to justify...
The code doesn't go through the obd socket unless you are entering it with diagnostics.
You can enter eka code using drivers door lock providing microswitches in latch are OK.
If you have later becm you can enter eka using nanocom. For this you turn ignition off, go into becm and I think it is...
Pour some diesel down it until it is clean then rinse with a small amount of petrol then swill out with caustic soda in hot water if it has dpf to remove carbon.
Finally rinse with water and refit and run till it's nice and hot
Refresh my memory, is it using any oil at all?
From the video, this looked exactly like the symptoms you used to get from valve stem oil seals.
My guess is that you're ingesting a bit of oil and that is changing the fuelling hence the slightly different leak off.
I would be inclined to do a...
To be honest, if I were paying that much for a car and the main dealer highlighted the pads were past their best, I would insist that they change them before I took delivery (at their cost)
Does the tdv8 have dpf?
I had a vauxhal astra van that exhibited similar symptoms and it turned out that the pipes for the differential pressure across the dpf were slightly split and thus it was going into limp mode.
Strangely, it also was giving egr errors rather than differential pressure...
Does the thermal switch feed into the ecu or is it just a physical switch in the pump?
Long time since I looked at mine but I remember having to replace mine.
