    I use cheap oil and change it at least twice a year. I think you’re better changing the oil often than using more expensive oils and changing less regularly.

    Sounds like an issue isolated to the started. Start at the motor with a multi meter and work backwards. Check all wiring is connected correctly and you're getting power to it. If it is then likely need new starter motor, if all wiring connected but now power work backwards to find the break/fault

    Snow is a real enemy of any Land Rover in my experience. Don’t know why that is but I’ve managed snowed in roads in my partners aygo that the defender struggled with. Both made it fine it’s like to add.

    As @lynall suggests most vehicles have lost them. You’ll get an MOT advisor at worst, if they even notice. The galv ones are expensive. I just replaced mine with britpart ones but I did replace the brackets with stainless steel ones

    Do you mean the disc brake guards? if so then yes (Assuming its the same as the 200tdi). They just bolt onto two brackets.

    rocker cover is a classic. Replace the seal with some hylomar blue to stop it leaking again.
