After fitting new arms and blades the wiper motor was struggling even on a wet screen then I lost double speed. Ordered new motor from paddocks and fitted it today. The back plate held on by self tappers that dont fit. Switched on No park. Then noticed the plastic 'plug' was arildited together...

Have you tried hand priming the lift pump it could be that is weak and diesel is not getting to the cylinder for a few seconds. I've had this problem with a couple of defenders honestly can't remember if it happened on my TD. Also had the problem on a pumpless system on a 1.6 td vw t25 . This...

Ive fitted the clear lens ones and apart from a weird dip pattern , nothing wrong just different, they are remarkable compared to my old 9 very old set with the same bulbs.

Why you get about half an inch more movement on a stock setup. This is my 'retired from offroad ' defender. So the loss of movement is not a problem. I was originally going to do the full lifted bit but it never gave me any cause for concern as stock so what the hell. I won't be scaping them...

It lives ! Photographs in the morning. Only drove it back from the garage but it pulls like it never did before and its on bigger tyres!

I'm away this week auditing the people who make all of lr's propshafts and drive shafts very interesting but no progress reports on my landy and my laptop bag is too small to smuggle anything out. Staying under the m6 bridge by fort dunlop jeez there are some big rats round here.

It is a scouse landy! Well near as makes no difference to anyone who isn't a real scouser. I'm hoping the horizontal black stripes on its main body will detract from this effect along with the the big bag hanging off the back with SWAG written on it.
