P38 4L Gems Turn the key and the engine fires but immediatly stops,same for the next 2 tries 4th try the engine starts normally.Anybody have any ideas.

My 97 P38 had driven me to the point of scrapping it until Marty put me in touch with Richard,one phone call to explain the problems,BECM sent to him and returned, Plugged it all back in turned the key and my worries were over. Cant praise his service too highly and does not charge the earth...

No have had it for several years.Decided not to spend money on a new transmission so used its interior on my other p38 with a shabby interior. Excellent Thor engine and coil springs,mileage about 80,000

Contact Trading Standards and lodge a complaint with ebay if thats how you bought it. Another person bought a Disco 3 and he took the vehicle back but last I heard he had not refunded the money

Contact the local trading standards,they were most helpful but to date no real result. If you have no vehicle or money returned I would think it amounts to theft,a word with your local plod may be a good idea,also lodge a complaint with ebay he works for Oxford University,they might not realise...

Yes another post re becm,have a 1997 P38 4L and the followingt is the problem. Drove the car a short distance without any problem,came back about 15 minutes alter and got the engine immobilised press key,did this and nothing happened,tried to enter the eka which is correct and the whone thing...

Still helping the poor boat people from France to bring covid into the country and we even help them when they get into our waters. Thought we had a border force and navy to prevent this.
