The same thing is happening to me after a compressor rebuild and four new bags, after 300 miles, it sound like the compressor has gone again, sounds like a rattling, clicking lunatic. I also rebuilt the block last year, though I'm not ruling that out. Compressor was still running frequently...

Front two are a lot easier if you remove the arch liners. Back two, if they're being stubborn and not coming out with a crowbar through the gap, cut the bag to make room and use the crowbar from the inside. I'm running out of major jobs to do! Oh, I have every bushing to replace...

Pins are not the problem, I've been heaving, hoing, and generally trying to leverage as much of myself as possible to get the top out. The right side eventually gave way, the left is being just as stubborn. The job is easy easy if I could just get the bags out!

Thanks again @wammers All fixed now on the cable side of things, made up two separate cables rather than the factory spliced original. No more time left to investigate suspension this trip, but I've a rebuild kit for it coming just in case and four new bag waiting to go on, so plenty to do!

Will split it tomorrow and earth at the point in front of the fuse box, hopefully they will solve that.

Yes it is! On closer inspection, the original splits in front of the fuse box, and it looks like it's earthed there too. I thought it was just routed that way, I'm guessing that is an important part to miss out..
