    Use of bitumen underseal paint

Done a quick search, but can't see a consistently positive suggestion for undersealling, and posted this question on my sill thread, but thought it worth getting a wider range of opinions from the Great and Good of LZ! Obviously Waxoyl provides some protection, but I was wondering about using...

Rear inner sill body mount has come adrift

Done a quick search, but can't see a consistently positive suggestion for undersealling. Obviously Waxoyl provides some protection, but I was wondering about using bitumen paint such as used on boats for the underneath of my new sills? Obviously these areas are subjected to all kinds of...

Rear inner sill body mount has come adrift

"Yu could have covered my Tum" I fort your female fanbase on LZ would appreciate a glimpse of the "real" MHM :D :D :D No probs with a hole cutter :) I was hoping not to, but the mount had shifted enough that the bolt couldn't be wiggled past the bodywork. When everything is back, I'll have...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Made Daft eat bacon sarnies, create, then weld a hole in the floor :D , and help me get a new sill sorted, and ate cake, and drank tea. :tea:

Rear inner sill body mount has come adrift

Wiv Daft's help, got the new sill in place, new rear mount welded on, and a hole in the floor fixed! Plenty more welding to do to get it fixed, but already looking a whole lot better. Pics include definite proof that Daft has been known to sleep under Landys :D

Rear inner sill body mount has come adrift

That's me ISO900000000001 standard strength test - club hammer...metal....doesn't break = OK :D Corse is always fails wiv pooters :smash:

Rear inner sill body mount has come adrift

No chance Daft, need to drive it through a puddle to make the doors fall off...oops that was me last but one car :D

Rear inner sill body mount has come adrift

For those who like to critique welding... when you find someone who's listening, knock yourself out! :bolt: :p :p :p

    Basingstoke to THE NORTH

How quick do you need it? If it will fit in the back of my Focus Estate, I could get it from Basingstoke to Derbyshire in late June... (29th) - you'd have to arrange a link up to get it the rest of the way.

    Off-Road GPS....

Asus Nexus tablet running Anquet Outdoor Map Navigator. Maps don't have to be that expensive (£18 for a region, 1:50000) and I can plan routes on the PC and share with tablet. 7" screen is fine and has built in GPS, though I connect the tablet to my phone for Internet access. Almost any Android...

Rear inner sill body mount has come adrift

True, but ground down the welds look OK. Bit of seam sealer and a coat of paint and they're under a carpet anyway.

Before image and ready for welding pics... You'll have to hand on for the pigeon poo welding pics :p

    Celeron PC base unit

Got a pretty old, but completely serviceable, Maxdata PC base unit. No monitor, keyboard or mouse. Running Windows XP which is fully up-to-date. Specs are 3Ghz Celeron processor, 2Gb RAM, 80Gb disk, floppy disk, CD/DVD drive and memory card reader. Has AVG free installed. Perfectly OK for...

Rear inner sill body mount has come adrift

First "proper" welding done, patching a hole in the floor near the passenger seat belt mount where Land Rover seemed to deliberately put a captive nut which rusted out  No Mona Lisa, but certainly a doofer :)

Discovery 1 300TDI 1994 Black Breaking For Spares

Does it have a working subwoofer in the rear door? If so, how much posted to Farnborough, Hants?

Boot floor and Wet Footwell... (Pics!)

Mine leaks by the windscreen in one corner but you've tested that so should be OK. There are a couple of rubber bungs in the footwell and mine started to rust around those, so maybe worth checking.

Newbie hello and usual disco issues!

:welcome2: I'm in the process of redoing my sills after one of the body mounts came adrift. I picked up a Clarke Supermig 150 second hand off here and it seems able to do what I need. Worth looking around. I find welding with gas more tolerant of my feeble attempts! Not sure what you will need...
