New Disco questions. Yes another one of these.

    1. No idea 2. LR keys are expensive so get a second hand from fleebay or something 3. 2" lift with new springs and dampers, secure oil pump bolt, replace plastic dowels in head with metal, transfer diff lock lever, the list goes on.....

Disco 2 AUTO Engine bay fuse number 12

Yes, sounds it. Check for power at pin 26 with and without the F12 and if its constantly powered its been given a separate supply. F12 is probably blowing because the cut end or short to earth was never taped up. New source is likely to be from closest switched supply to the ecu.

Disco 2 Right Hand Turn Understeer

Thats a great investment no matter what but not sure how much it will influence things. Unless you have noticed a suspension sag or anything I suppose. If it only occurs on right hand turns is it track rod ends or ball joints worn on one side? Probably the loaded wheel (lhs). Bit of a worry if...

ATF leak from front of autobox, input shaft seal?

Well I've not done one either but for that money this sounds like an ideal opportunity to learn. What is there to lose?

Disco 2 Right Hand Turn Understeer

More commitment Shimsteriom - you need to approach faster, flick it in and keep it nailed so you get a 4 wheel drift. Let me know how you get on eh! Its a puzzler if its only one direction though. It suggests something diferent on one side and the other. What I would say is quite often handling...

Discovery 4 Engine replacement for me By Lewis 4x4 Neath. Servo pump seized stripped cam teeth.

Now this shows why a two poster ramp is the one to have.

    Disco 2 Not sitting level

I'm an auto so have no real engine braking. Its therefore a reasonable assumption that there will be some acceleration torque acting on the rh springs. I suppose even a manual, unless cruising, will be accelerating more strongly than the engine would brake. All springs are on correctly and i'm...

    Hybrid seat- your thoughts please!

Sounds a job to me. I suppose you could weld bits together but what a mare. I thought about doing a seat exchange when I had my 110 but never got around to it. What I did do was get new cushions fitted and what a difference that made. Far less hassle too.

    Disco 2 Not sitting level

As soon as the weather improves i'll do some thinking and looking properly. I'm sure we'll find the answer and all will be good again.

    Disco 2 Not sitting level

Well I did consider I may have overdone the christmas indulgences but on reflection I can't believe the driver should have such an influence on the spring wear of a big heavy vehicle like a disco. What I was thinking is the engine and tranmission torque is the likely culprit. Haven't checked yet...

Britpart +2" but no difference I could see at the time. I'd be happy to swap them across, its no big issue but definitely no height difference at the time.

    Disco 2 Not sitting level

I bought the Britpart kit +2" lift and did check at the time but could see no difference in height.

    Disco 2 Not sitting level

The past few days I have noticed a slight lean to the drivers side. I measured from the ground to the wheel arch on both sides and found the front about 5-10mm lower on drivers side and the rear 20mm lower. I put new springs and shocks on a year or so ago (the kit with 2" lift) and I wouldn't...

    I seem to kill cars

You can kill anything if you don't look after it. I find the D2 Td5 is a brilliant car and when it comes to reliability, though I love a v8 (who doesn't), diesel seems the best bet. I have the auto version and was a little apprehensive at first but would not have anything but an auto now i've...
