    Lifting spacers

When I was a kid, Spaccer meant something else. I wouldn't call my company that. Spaccer Suspension, ha ha...........FFS !!:pound: Immediately implies there's something not right with them.

    Rear brake problem

Did mine yesterday. There are 5 (I think, can't remember) raised bits on the backplate that need to be coated in coppergrease.

    Evo Wheels on Freelander 1...

Standard Td4 3dr hard top is around 1555kg. Evo IV GSR is 1345kg. As my 3dr Td4's have had most of the heaviest parts removed from their interiors (and also taking into account I have added a rollcage) I have still shaved around 100kg off the overall weight - even more when I get round to...

What have you done to your Freelander today

New drums and shoes. The old shoes looked meaty enough but one was peeling off ! Now the brakes feel so much better and the handbrake actually works.

    Evo Wheels on Freelander 1...

I can't see any problem. They use them for racing and rallying on the Evo's so I'd say they'd be plenty tough enough for use on a Freelander, especially when most Freelanders will never leave the tarmac.

Real experiences of those with lifted Hippos.

Driveshafts. However, they only seem to fail when driving with my aggressive tread tyres for prolonged periods. With road tyres I've had no failures.

Was My First Land Rover Better Than My Freelander?

You know when us Land Rover owners get mad when we see descriptions of Land Rovers for sale with quotes like "this Jeep is in great condition......" when it's obvious it's a Land Rover and "NOT A F@££ing JEEP. I wonder if the Jeep owners look at this picture in the same way..............you...

    A good buy...

Craddocks were selling them for £29.99 incl. VAT. There are 2 types, hard plastic or foam. The foam being a lot heavier as the plastic one is hollow. Both surprisingly had the same part no. Think they sold out.............not surprised at that price.

    Biggest Ever Blonde Moment ??

It's been 2 years since I sold my auto and I occasionally stall my manual, as my brain is still in auto mode. One foot driving..............I miss my auto.

    .Race 2 Recovery, Meeting 5 Bovington .

Teddywood1 -Yes, but cheated by using a "plug and play" wiring loom so I didn't have to chop wires. Simon- Don't know about that. I wouldn't have thought so though. R2R paid £3600 for the vehicle. I've been told a manual conversion would be around £6000 !! So to me this doesn't make sense to...

Taking part in H4H 4x4 European Rally 2015

Driveshafts. When my Freelander was regularly rallied, driveshafts were the main component that needed replacing. They take a lot of punishment especially with a lift and larger tyres.

    Looking for first Freelander.
