I’m sure you would be able to do the cam belt change yourself, there’s lots of help and videos available both on here and YouTube. Is there any sign of diesel around the injectors? It’s quite possible that it requires new injector seals which is easily doable. You are doing it the right way...

I just used a can of vinyl/plastic spray from Wilko for £3.99 almost 3 to 4 years ago, no fading whatsoever. The problem I have is they keep dropping down whilst driving, they just refuse to stay in the up position. ‍♂️‍♂️

It sounds very much like you are having an inconsistent fuel flow. Are your injectors set correctly?

Though you must be prepared to have those ones stolen. Sadly there have been multiple reports of LED headlamps and front bumpers with running lights fitted haven been stolen - it’s a sad world!

I’ve not been able to get underneath the car as yet to remove the switch or put the pressure tester. I’m hoping to do that once we’re back on Tuesday. Out of curiosity, apart from the warning light, what would be the symptoms of low oil pressure?
