OK, I have the smaller version, and don't know exactly what can be done with your built-in display. First thing would be to connect it up and see how to connect to the different systems (EAS, HEVAC etc.). Are you going to use it also with a PC?

L322 Drivers Door Lock Mechanism replacement.....

Your posts are ab fab! Puts me to shame when I do a job and don't take photos ... Do you think that the L322 is better made than the P38 in this area?

It can be a pretty steep learning curve, with some systems (BECM) being accessed with ignition off, others with it on .. Are you using it with a PC, or is the Extreme the one with the display?

    Coolant level

Won't Torque already do part of this by warning at a pre-set temperature? Just needs an (could be an old) Android phone permanently connected.

This is what I use ... makes it a bit easier. Take your time and always check the diagonally opposite height after making a single change ..

    Slipped Liner

What I sense is that you really want to get the new block! Try writing it all down - the costs and engine options I mean - and then try to justify it. If that doesn't work, add in the love of the vehicle and go for it. :)

    Slipped Liner

I don't know if GBP 1,300 is good or not. You could ask him to separate his labour: 1. For old engine out and new back in 2. For the rebuilding 3. for the parts - studs, gaskets, your new cam, oil pump gears, timing cover checking, rocker gear, testing and fettling your heads ..... The full...

    Slipped Liner

If it is any comfort, I bit the bullet and got a Turner short block a year ago and am very happy with it. My sole regret is that I didn't bite harder and get the full engine .... I hadn't factored in the labour and miscellaneous parts cost to build the short engine up.

    Electrical fault

I tried the "restoration" cycle two weeks ago and now the battery will go to half charge but the normal cycle won't complete ... Does this mean I should try to get a lead acid battery? Charge voltage is 14.2 - I've checked this at length using Torque Pro. Batteries just don't last here so it...

EAS overhaul - NEVER assume anything!

Yes, I couldn't believe it when I extracted the two rings if different size. I'll know tonight if it is till settling. Cheers.

    Electrical fault

..... ducks to avoid cross fire .... I'm about to replace my calcium lead battery after only a year or so. Tried many time to restore it with my CTEK ... Anyway, I thought I'd research a bit on the net and wish I hadn't started. I've stopped now because I can't find a definitive answer to...

EAS overhaul - NEVER assume anything!

Hi All, My refreshed valve block has been in for a week now. Actually, it wasn't that bad internally, with maybe only the NRV o rings looking suspect .... So, all good? Right? Wrong - problem still there - dipping at the front. The Arnott Gen 3 air bags were fitted 2 years ago. Can't be...
