I dont F-ing believe my luck with these cars its all too familiar

Hang in there! The fix looks straightforward, even I think I could do it! If it is any comfort, my P38 had a gearbox fault which the guys on the board here insist was a broken signal cable .... ended up costing me USD 1,000 for a box overhaul. Cheers.

    Key fob repair recommendation

H All, I inherited a really mangled and broken Key 1 which the PO had replaced. So, I had two working keys and one broken one. I sent the dodgy one to remote fob centre in the UK (ebay) to see if it could be repaired. For a very reasonable price I now have a working spare key 1 in a new...

Autobox speed sensor -- help please

Thought I'd close this one. Prepare for a good laugh ... or tears! Auto box man checked all wiring around the gearbox, especially the one connecting to the speed sensor at the back. All OK. Then he removed the box and found an internal problem and overhauled the entire thing .... my...

Autobox speed sensor -- help please

Well, here I am back from the auto box place empty handed. I went to take it for a test drive to find a bad misfire ...... What on earth could they have done to the coils? Plug leads are new, plugs also (new means 6 months or so). Engine is new. No misfire evident before, the engine is very...

Autobox speed sensor -- help please

Can you see which cable comes from the speed sensor at the back of the box? That would be useful to see ... how it comes through the transmission tunnel and off the the ecu. Cheers.

Autobox speed sensor -- help please

That's brilliant. I'm going to get it back from the auto box people before they remove the box ...... and take it back to the workshop which pulled the box last week. Surely they pulled the box and yanked a cable or three ...... just like you said. Wife says that the mechanics were looking...
