Expensive day today, sold my soul to Sally for £780 and got a half frame ordered up from Dixon Fabrication including the rear body mount outriggers. (yes, the non-galvanised one, i know, i know :rolleyes: my soul isn't worth £900 plus £95 postage...) Also booked 3 days off (plus the weekend)...

I guess that’s actually a pretty clever redundancy feature, learn something new every day. i haven’t got a workshop manual yet so I was going off the diagram on the fusebox lid which is unhelpful. Thanks for your wisdom, I’ll try that when I get back.

Howdy. I’ve been trying to “un-farmer” my D2’s electrical system and ran into a problem with one of the headlights. (this is on a pre-facelift with the glass headlights) The previous owner fitted led H4 bulbs and for whatever reason did away with the block connectors that push onto the bulbs...

Got stuck in today. I replaced the broken crank pulley and damper unit that was clattering. I ordered a used unit and a new bolt from Turners for ~£50. She runs like a top now, quiet and smooth. Chuffed with that. Interestingly I found a few tricks to make replacing the damn thing easier than...
