The spare wheel on my discovery 2 is locked on with 3 nuts, one is a locking type. I fitted discovery 3 wheels and spiggots + new discovery 3 wheel nuts when I got the car as the ones one it were some stupid 22" ones. I need to get a wheel nut key to get the spare off... is there only one type...

So this weekend I did the following jobs on my new discovery.. Drained and re-filled both front & rear diffs Drained and refilled transfer box Changed engine oil & both filters changed air filter Fixed a leaking front camshaft seal changed the fuel filter fixed the leaking coolant hose cap on...

OK fixed it, used some 18mm silicone hose and a stainless blank plug, nice tight fit, worked a treat :-)

Just checked, its the rubber blanking cap that's perished and dripping. Looks like 7/8 heater hose ? I'll try and make a temp repair until I can get the correct part. Mat
