ok so just had a quote of £92.40 inc for a "Global Power" alternator. Anyone heard/used these?

As title says, is Denso any good? I have got to order a new alternator today and i appear to mainly have a choice of OEM for £££££££££, Denso for around £130 mark or ****part for £90ish. I have also looked on the forum sponsors web site which does not say what the make is, so if anyone from...

I'm with BB on this one, i think these guides should be locked down. The ones i have used on here have mainly been by "blunderbus" ,thats probably not right but close enough. To many people adding relevant and not so relevant posts would make them hard to follow.

Thanks for all the reply's chaps. Learn something new everyday, didn't know they are bonded. I have the roof lining out at the moment so I think I will try silicone from the inside out and see what that does! I cant get anymore silicone on the outside, in places it bulges the rubber out a good...

Cheers gd. Would I be right in thinking that it is not one complete rubber,rather 4 separate rubbers?

300tdi on M reg, all window rubbers are cracked so looking at replacing them, trouble is i cant find anyone that supplies these items. The biggest problem is the front windscreen that p-sses in water after rain. Anyone know how to get hold of them?

This is probably going to be one of those stupid questions.....but. I have a snorkel on my 300tdi, although i don't drive through anything deeper than a fairly shallow puddle. It was absolutely throwing it down today which made wonder. With the top of the snorkel (safari style) facing forwards...

If it is anything like mine you will end up with silicone all the way across the top of the window. I put a little bit under passenger side rubber,after a few weeks the rubber started to lift, so more silicone,more lift etc etc.
