    The grey import Honda I bought recently has a km speedo with a mph transfer on top but does of course read in kms. Looking at the MoT history, some testers have recorded it as kms, others miles.

    I've always had a bit of a clunk from the front end of mine when going over speed humps and the like - for 7 years and 50,000 miles. Never worked out what it was, always passed MoT, local indy couldn't find anything so have just assumed it's a "feature".

    Given the awkwardness of fitting I'd go for a new one over used every time unless cash is really tight. I hate grovelling about in the door which apart from anything else is coated with waxoyl which transfers itself to my hands, clothes, face etc.....

    Some people have had problems with pattern harnesses - it's best to get genuine. As Brian says, it can take some time for the oil to run right through. I've taken the white spacer out of the ECU end red plug and drilled a hole so if any oil does get through it has a faint chance of draining out...

    Yes, mine's the same - have to wait a few seconds after closing the bonnet before locking otherwise get a mislock sound.

    Good write up. Mine has the posh veneer panel so is much harder to get the switch panel off but when I did the handbrake gaiter several years ago it was possible just by springing the wire clip out.

    Do you need to unplug everything or just the power supply (or fuse 15)? Or indeed fuse 29 in the interior fusebox? RAVE says that if there is no ignition supply (controlled by this fuse) then the system defaults to locked bars as said by Fery.
