Don't know about the 98 model, I have a 2000 model 4.6 and when my sensor went it just stopped and refused to start until it cooled down a bit then start run fine until hot and just stop no loss of power just stop. I also had the same issue on a Rover 75.
Not sure if that helps but I think if...
Ordering the parts was easy, paying for them painful as always with our machines and parcel force picked them up easy enough they have just been sat at a post office depot for a week??
Tracked my suspension parts i ordered over a week ago and they are still sat in the UK. (so much for my usual weeks delivery out here) guess they are under lock down as well, Bugger, wanted to get them fitted before the snow arrives.
No, wish I could. I am looking to buy a garage but they don/t come up for sale in my area very often and the last 2 that did i missed out on as I was away.
Snakes wedding comes to mind, and you know if you disconnect the wrong thing the whole universe will implode and even if you then rewire it as you found it, it will never work again. Sorry mate I am not much help on this one.
Finally gotten around to ordering the rear air springs and compressor re build kit so that will keep me busy in the next week or so when it arrives and i'll bet by then the weather will turn.

Welcome to the loony zone and the either painful or happy world of the P38 hope you have deep pockets and be prepared for a bit of stick and banter while you solve issues.
I had the same issue 8 years ago when a new door entry system was fitted by my parking spot at home. Followed the advice on here and disconnected the RF lead and magic! problem solved. The fob still works close to car and I can tell when the battery in the fob is getting low as it won't work...
Cheers and would take you up on it but even after all these years I still don't trust Russia post. Never had much go missing but sometimes my mail from uk arrives in my mailbox without the envelope. Post office says not possible but can't argue with them or nothing will arrive.
Sorry for saying thank you to someone who helped me I thought that this was a forum about asking for help and getting good advice not about trolling people for having their view .However, maybe I have just read the whole thing wrong so I will get my coat and leave this discussion.
