@Flossie what year is yours? As there is 3 different fuse boxes one for the petrols and the early diesels and late diesels are different and set up differently

Indeed certainly can't complain :D once I've been and got my new one sorted will send my existing key for repair and hopefully end up with a spare

I thought that, and had been told that, my key cover covers the cost anyway and gives me a couple of hours doss away from work so not really complaining and there's a good motocross shop juts round the corner from the dealer so win win ;)

For the people that wanted to know how it goes, have had a phone call this morning from my local lr mainstealer and apparently my key has arrived and I'm booked in to get it sorted on Monday ( fingers crossed) :cool::D

Put a live supply to the pin terminal I have circled straight from your battery, put a fuse in line just to be on the safe side

Makes for interesting and confusing reading that way :cool:

Easily done has been a fairly long thread with a couple of other conversations going on within it too

@Therustbucket I never claimed to be locked out just the immobiliser fob is broken therefore unable to start vehicle etc and was covered by my RAC for unforseen breakage

Well keys are on order or should be fingers crossed, had to take proof of ownership etc to my local mainstealer so in theory is just a waiting game with lr now, and tbh I'm not too sure what they would do, I think it would depend on circumstances as I still had my key, but originally they was...

Basically they have been in contact with main stealer and is a 2 week up 6 month wait for a key and are trying other avenues to see if there is any quicker way when I chased them up last thing today, so I'm presumably going to hear off them at some stage tomorrow or fingers crossed anyway :D

Well I will let you know the outcome of the RAC route as it develops, have made the important phonecall this morning and waiting to hear back :D

Granted may be worth getting a second one after mine has been repaired but going to try and get mine sorted first and then look into getting the second sorted so at least I have one lying about as a spare

I think I will get a blade sorted and send mine away if no joy then go down the main stealer route if all else fails

Even without that the main stealer price is still rather a lot think I might just bike it to work for a week and hope I can get it repaired

Should be a fuse that you said you've checked should also be a earth with a ring terminal on it hiding somewhere under your seat failing that, check the back of the plugs for the bypass bit as sometimes they are a bit crap and the pins push out slightly when they are pushed together a small flat...
