Does anyone know if there is a difference between the early and late electronic lift sensor apart from the colour of the plug and the price of it? Reason being I bought a brand new one for the early type and I'm debating getting rid of my earlier P38 but if it's a case of just changing the plug...

I've had one show the desired resistance when tested but show no voltage on nanocom that was a week old ,put another new one in and sorted not come back on since

managed to get a fair bit done old one out and new one in just need to wire and plumb it back up tomorrow and sort the winch bumper out and make that fit before the rad etc go back in, getting the bell housing to line up on my own was bit of a pain but got there in the end :)

All brakes are good and don't bind etc and seems to roll fine and drive ok just is so flat it's unreal , it's getting another engine tomorrow as the current one could blow up balloons with its crankcase pressure, will probably get that in and do the modulation etc and see what it's like

have you checked the fusebox and relays i know it sounds a bit daft but it caught me out and took me a long time to figure out

when it dies does it kind of fade out and die or stop dead ?

@Datatek correct me if im wrong but i think the fip timing defaults to a static setting if the lift sesnor fails, so should still run etc and would also show a mil light , but certainly would be worth checking

did you adjust the top part of the pump at all ? being about 1mm out is enough for it to not rev or start , also had a similar case with fuse box causing a similar issue with mine would run then stutter and die until it had cooled down

Ah right , I won't bother then , just seemed to be very mixed reviews on them , and thought you chaps would know best ;) would be nice to get a bit more poke out of it tho

Oil pressure switch should be on the backside of the filter housing body on that , the m57 engine can suffer with oil pump or turbo issues if it hasn't been serviced properly but pressure sensor is certainly the cheapest and easiest to sort

Has anyone got first hand experience with ronbox/ synergy box are they worth it and do they give much hassle to ems or are they pretty happy considering how temperamental the p38's can be. Swapping my engine over next week and where it's all going to be out easier to get to plugs etc , just want...

They are £500 I bought one a couple of weeks ago, got mine from a UK seller to avoid any form of import duties took a couple of weeks to get here but is exactly the same price as they charge anyway

My nanocom finally arrived yesterday took over 2 weeks to get here :eek: as one of you lovely chaps mentioned the becm had decided lose sync with the engine ecu and changed its immobilizer code , 2 mins job done and it starts :D
