So after being moving away from a p38 for a while I decided I needed something with a green oval again , so I decided to buy a classic that's more of a project than I first thought I need a indicator stalk but seems to be an odd ball one with a different plug that I can't find in stock anywhere...

Anr4704 is the part number you need That should be the one you need then for Rh rear the early ones come down to the axle differently, just double check that it looks right first

If you are going to replace you brake flexis what year is your P38? as there is 2 different types , I found out the hard way previously by buying some and then not fitting

I fitted a rear prop off a manual diesel , and I have a FTC4140 that's good lying about somewhere , I just didn't want to fit it if there was something odd with it saying that it doesn't fit , but I can always offer it up and hope that it won't slide apart maybe if the only difference is a cm in...

Been having a look at front props as mine is now goosed, does anyone know what the difference is between FTC4140 and TVB000130 apart from the price as the TVB number says diesel auto only , mine is a auto but has a manual rear prop on as it kept chewing the rubber joint up, just seems odd that...

Yer it went mad wipers horn alarm trying to start itself etc whilst I was driving it :eek: luckily I disconnected the battery pretty quick and took it apart straight away certainly was a lucky one , I now know that I need to move it away from the floor tho , the door seals are good but the water...

Bet it plays up more than a P38 when the electrics do get wet tho ,in that video they done there is 2 parts of that pond they went through that was the shallow one the other one is twice as deep and full of silt, I found that out myself :confused:

But for those that do want to know I do need to strip one of my doors apart at some point as the rubber for the runner has fell out so when I do that I will plug one of the other ones in and see what happens and let you know :cool:

Luckily a few hours with the hair dryer seemed to fix it was water everywhere somehow even the becm was ok after a strip apart and a dry out I think was a rather lucky escape in allo_O

Any gurus know much about the door Amps in the P38 I have a dead one due to a rather long wade that filled the doors with water :eek: and have 2 others in my spares pile but they have different numbers are they superseded or are they different ?

@Salisbury Nick I'm pretty certain I have seen you about on the odd occasion mines, currently in a lot of pieces as the mot is due shortly and have had to do a fair amount of work to it , but won't be long before it's out and about again :)

@Datatek if I could have the mod that you have done that would be great , I could then use the existing wiring that's there to run the fan and then like @dubbleRR has said put a lower temp switch in I would then have the best of both worlds ;)

Yes it's diesel and it's the second fan that has failed the first one locked up solid and this one has been on just over a year and fell apart , but the truck does a fair bit of wading etc and it's not the first time I have seen a viscous fan let go and take out a rad or hoses etc , so want to...

So after this happening tho other day and taking the radiator out with it I want to convert the fan to an electric one , it doesn't have the Aircon fans anymore as the entire system has been removed , wiring/plugs are still there for the fans , I know they used to run as a secondary engine fan...
