    Freelander 1 Td4 Mpg

Thank you Nodge68. Usually I use cruise control and when everything works fine I just tip the pedal which makes it easy, but also with the current fuel prices I try not to use the heavy foot too much.

    Pollen filter from hell

Nice one, cleaned mine in summer, but didn't get that clean. Thought to throw in an ultrasonic cleaner to get it cleaner. Especiallt the other entry.

Thanks GG. I've created an Excel spreadsheet. Yes, usually I don't wait till it's empty to fil up. Most was like half full on that trip, mostly only quarter depending on where I am. Also when I don't fill up for whatever reason I can calculate it once filled up.

    Freelander 1 Td4 Mpg

We returned some days ago from a trip to Germany, South Hesse, meaning uphill, downhill, going north to Lower Saxony and also Hamburg for a day. Got the wiring loom changed before and it seemed to have improved. Couldn't get the MAF changed due to the weather before. From Dover down the A3 south...

Freelander 1 Headlining Replacement - completed

Thank you for the pictures @andyfreelandy. I have some parts laying around, especially that foam blocks, when I did it in 2018 and need to get it back in.

    Freelander 1 Td4 vibration-not torque converter

Morning @Nodge68, all I can say is that the gearing got so bad when the noises from the driveshaft appeared that I preferred to get it picked up to get it changed and it improved afterwards again. My thoughts on that were, that if the driveshaft doesn't get the proper rpm's to the road in...

    Freelander 1 Td4 vibration-not torque converter

Morning @andyfreelandy , New GKN RH DS is in for about 1.5 weeks now. The odd noise is gone. Due to winter tires it's a bit louder though. Gearing has improved again, isn't as rough as when other one went, but as the other one is not GKN I am wondering if that has an effect on the gearing still...

Morning @Nodge68 you mentioned somewhere the mile/km conversion and was wondering which one you used as it wasn't 1.6093 as per what I found. What was it again?. Thought it was in here but couldn't find it anymore.

Can't tell you about the pipe, but for Rave, presumingly when using newer Windows you might need to adjust to compatibility mode.

Freelander 1 TD4 IRD Smash, savage FW drive train leaks and mystery washer!

About the grommet, don't if it was in between or you found it, it's the engine's accoustic cover having three.

    Freelander 1 TD4 missfire 2000 revs

Didn't see it, but when have you changed the crankcase breather filter last? Or is the BMW cyclone in? And the valve 8510224? Don't know if that can cause misfire, but good to have it working I found just the lid of the valve recently but can't find it at the moment.

    Freelander 1 Td4 vibration-not torque converter

I don't know. That SKF one was put in, in Jan or Feb. and according to what I found should have good quality, but somehow there is something wrong on the RH side again. I have still the original one but can't get the parts to change it. Have ordered a new RH one from Island now and hope that'll...

If you want to change them, that might be a bit of a search to do. The RH I could only find on island and the other one none in UK so far.

Yes, that would be an idea:). It's like glugging, gurgling if that makes sense.

    Freelander 1 Td4 vibration-not torque converter

Yes, o_O Doesn't appear all the time, though. It usuallly starts with the vibration, just like as if the power when accelerating wouldn't be transferred properly onto the road which was before that change as well.

Freelander 1 Solved: Right Rear Link Long Bolt Thread/Pitch

Hello, would anyone know the above for the bolt that goes through the two short rear links? It's a M12 x 1mm by the look of it. Maybe 1.5mm. KR Matthias

    Freelander 1 Td4 vibration-not torque converter

I would have said the driveshaft, but am not sure how many miles your one has on. Had mine changed in Jan/Feb for a none-original one and now got the noise back. It somehow sounds like the flush of a toilet sometimes. On mine it was and is mainly uphill as well or new downhill. If it cures it I...
