Freelander 1 Td4 Auto hard gear change 3 to 4 - Nearly SOLVED

You're welcome. the 2/4 no, oil cooler seemed to have improved, but since the cooler leaks it I can't remember to have heard. Had no fault codes except the usual MAF ones for wires taken off. Could scan the invoice to show you what I mean or they meant or maybe someone else has similar experience?

Freelander 1 Td4 Auto hard gear change 3 to 4 - Nearly SOLVED

Morning Andy, When I got my gearbox refurbed a part of the warranty was to get the radiator changed as they found that autoboxes were having problems if cooler problems. Some month my oil cooler was first leaking so got it changed. I had trouble also with 2nd to 3rd and/or 3rd to 4th. Three...

Freelander 1 Air/Con Fluid through Air vents

Thanks. Do you mean a piece like that , that I know what to look for? Just wondering when the a/c was renewed the a/c should have been flushed for warranty purposes if I remember it correctly. Should that be clean then or is that separated?

Freelander 1 Air/Con Fluid through Air vents

Good Evening All, was just driving home from a walk with the dog, had a/c and the fan on 3 or 4 when it did an odd noise cling and it feels like fluid/water would come in through the air vents. I turned it down to one and it disappeared. First I thought it was the drinking cup which I had...

Freelander 1 TD4 Auto Gear One to Two or Two to Three Loud Clonking Noise

The gearbox oil cooler was changed some weeks ago, but had the loud clonking still after from time to time. Felt more like when pushing the accelerator pedal down harder that it does it rather then when starting off smoother. The radiator had a leak and was fixed and two clamps, but still after...

Freelander 1 Rear Link - The long one

Hello All, I was wondering what would the easiest way be to get rear link / trailing arm changed? Can I just drive the car up the Hippo ramps or would I need to take the wheels off to change it/ jack it up? The garage usually says rubbers would be good, but after alm. 212T miles and wobbly from...

Freelander 1 Vent Assembly Center Console

Can I ask how you got them out as the clips show outward direction? I tried with a tiny screwdriver, but still to big I guess. Thought to use a metal which came with the stereo to slip it out, but like usually when needed can't find it. The plastic for the door boards didn't work either so far.

Freelander 1 [SOLVED] Electrical problems, possible CCU failure

If it's for the tailgate, get a cardboard, cut it to the size and stick it there with tape and some foil over it to protect from rain. Had done that on mine when the window smashed down.

Freelander 1 TD4 Auto Coolant Loss

Ok, just thought and opened it till the fluid was down to what you said and kept it running for an hour no loss of fluid so far. Wondering if they really didn't bleed it or would I need to drive it?

Freelander 1 TD4 Auto Coolant Loss

Thanks @Nodge68 . Am I right in thinking it's this (first pic) and the other two are for the air con? For the air con one they killed the head last time changing the compressor. Any way I get one on again?

Freelander 1 TD4 Auto Coolant Loss

Good question, no idea. Would need to ask but doubt if getting an answer if not. Could I do that myself, where would the outlet be? It felt like it bubbled out on the left upper corner of the radiator, but couldn't find anything and it got dark.
