Afternoon all, when I stick the windscreen unit back on to the bulk head after I do some welding and repairing the rust, am I best using a good dose of windscreen sealant in top and bottom of the seal for when its all tighten up its more likely to be water tight Thanks

Good news, it comes of with a little heat from the heat gun and a scraper, peels off like a wrap It must not of been prepped properly before the raptor coat was applied which is good for me as at least I can remove it.

Its the outside, whole thing has been painted in the textured raptor stuff

Think some has plated over them from the inside when its been rotten with steel, so I plan to take that plate out and order some new footwells and rivet them

Price too good to pass up on at the time, didn't have a massive budget as its my 4th motor. Could be a possibility to sort the body issues out, raptor the repaired bits and may go for a darker colour, as its white at the moment and may look better in a dark green or grey with the textured...

Fingers crossed, yeah that's not a bad idea with give that a go. Will be good to get it on the road shortly, looking like it needs the foot well panels replacing and a patch on the chassis near the rear. The rest is a few lights and electrical work so hopefully not to tricky to resolve.

Yeah I have used that kurust before on my old ford escort worked quite well, to be honest just want the landy solid so wont go to overboard. Just needs some tidying up and repairing for the MOT :) Cheers

Yeah it seems tough stuff, it just doesn't look right with the textured finish atall. Ideally would like to go back to bare and repair the panels that have just been painted over before being repaired properly. I wonder if I could get some good grit sandpaper on machine and smooth it off so...

Any reason you want to remove it? Believe it was raptor paint in grey, and then they have gone over it with a gloss white paint (presume 2pak) ... yeah its tough old stuff. Its been sprayed on damaged door and panels with no prep before hand so the finish isn't great. Main reason to remove...
