    P38A V8 De-Catting advice

All I know is the MOT tester has said he will pass it without Cats. Mine also says dual fuel on the V5. Either way no going back now I’ve had to cut the Cats to get them out as didn’t fancy removing the cross member. Will let you know how it goes once I’ve got the decats made up!

    P38A V8 De-Catting advice

As it’s presented running on LPG there is no requirement for an emissions test. MOT tester confirmed it would pass without Cats installed

    P38A V8 De-Catting advice

How do all, can anyone help me source a de-cat exhaust pipe for my 4.0 ‘01 P38? I’m having to replace the exhaust system due to it failing the mot for the centre box and rear boxes being heavily corroded and leaking. Speaking with the MOT tester as it was presented for the test on LPG it...

    Wanted P38 Exhaust

Yes centre section and both back boxes corroded was an advisory last year and now the only thing it’s failed on this year. I was after a second hand stainless replacement not looking at throwing a few hundred pound on a new SS bit of kit. After speaking to the MOT tester he has to test it as...

    P38A BRC LPG Advice Needed!

Hi just a quick update. Spoke to Tamar CC last week. Very helpful but seems they don't really do LPG systems anymore seems that the demand had dropped off somewhat rapidly over recent years. I'm gonna try D&N autocare in Wellington tomorrow. Got some time to investigate on the weekend. Seems...

    P38A BRC LPG Advice Needed!

Ah maybe I was misinformed, maybe just the UK division that's no longer around? Have heard good things about BRC, the system on mine is 10years old so I can excuse the vaporiser for needing replacement. I had a conversion done on a 4.6 last year and went for a Prinns system. As researched and...

    P38A BRC LPG Advice Needed!

Ok thanks, I'll bear that in mind. Gonna try dn auto's as the other place is a 4 hour trip for me. But see how it goes. Seems BRC doesn't exist any which doesn't help matters. Fingers crossed it's a simple matter of setting the flow rate on the new vaporiser.

    P38A BRC LPG Advice Needed!

Thanks for your input, I'm in south Somerset so may give dnautos a go on your recommendation. No pressure ;/ Shame there is nothing online about how to set these up but always seems to be the way with expensive systems. Personally I like to understand and do it myself but will have to concede...

    P38A BRC LPG Advice Needed!

How do all, Am having problems sorting out my BRC Sequent 56 LPG system. It's never worked since I bought the vehicle a couple months back, but I've been lucky before and always managed to sort LPG problems out with previous Rover V8's I've bought but I'm stuck with this one. I took it to my...

    L322 New Toy help needed

Glad you got a diagnosis, would of taken more than that one way in the V8! Haha. Go steady stemming the leak, bags run at high pressure need to fully deflate them and isolate the supply whilst rectifying the leak. Sounds like your on the way to a resolution, at least the L322 stops the...

    L322 New Toy help needed

Hi Ian sorry for the delayed response! Very generous to offer the fuel costs and the load liner! Trouble is my time at the moment, I understand why you wouldn't want to drive down with malfunctioning EAS. May be able to pop up in a couple of weeks time if that's any good? Let me know if you get...
