If it has a com problem what do I need to do?

Hi, Ok, the gearbox is fine up and down the box after you are in 2nd. To set off steady no problem. If i try to set off quickly it will launch but gets to end of the gear and won't change unless I back off and allow it to change up at lower revs.

I thouht you were joking about kicking down in first, of course i know there is no gear below first. If you read my post I said that it doesn't change up from standing start not down. Sorry not being funny but just clarifying.

Yes it is 4.2 v8 supercharged 2007.

4.2 S/c vogue 2007.

Apparently it had a gear box service including flush and oil change.

Exactly right, so i dont think it will be the kick down so what does that leave, could it be the the accelerator cable or a transducer on the pedal?

Sorry, this only happens from standstill so will it still try to kickdown in first?

So is that a gearbox fault or another component?

Hi, thanks for getting back, it's purely technical at the moment, just frying to find out if I have a major issue or not as only recently bought it.

Location: Cheshire Hi guys, Slight problem, 1st gear pull away steady to quick ok. Pull away with a bit of a squirt doesn't want to change up! Any ideas? Your thoughts please. Thanks in advance.
