I probably wouldn’t have thought to do them but for what they cost it makes sense. I much prefer replacing things before they fail if I can, might as well do it and get the benefit rather than flop about on worn bushes.

Good news, MOT passed today. One advisory was that a front anti roll bar link needs replacing. I tend to be a bit ott with maintenance so will do the other front one too, as they’re cheap is it worth doing the rear ones while I’m at it? Do they degrade over time or just fail?

Would make sense that without having to turn the pump you’d get the power at the wheels instead.

Have a nose at my earlier pic, on ACE and air, was the only car other than a Jimmy that made it down that section with all four wheels on the ground. I’m not convinced removing SLS and ACE is actually prepping a D2 for off road.

Random one but I’m assembling some spares and wondered if the links are LR or LR or even D2 specific? Don’t have anything similar amounts my collection of fuses that I’ve accumulated over the years.

Mine has TCS and no difflock, not got stuck anywhere and it seems to work well. Not sure if it’s any different on the facelift but as long as you don’t overwhelm it and give it time to work out what’s going on you should be fine without the CDL.

Just be more careful with sharp rocks, I have seen them torn up, they won’t take the abuse something with a bit of extra reinforcement will. For everything else but the most extreme they’ll be just fine though I’m sure.

Congratulations, definitely worth having diagnostics of your own if you don’t have easy access. Mine has hit the point where lots needs sorting at once, I do lose enthusiasm every so often but I like the thing enough to get back at it. The to do list will get shorter one day!!
