I've found trying to replace the dangerous aged 6.50 x 16 Firestones a challenge. As the landy will be used mainly on the road I was thinking about a modern tubless radial tyre. Would a 5.5 x16 steel wheel from Paddocks and a 205/80/16 A/T be a suitable replacement? I don't want to alter...

https://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/jc269-weber-carb-conversion-for-2-25-petrol.html I think this blooks like the right kit, I'll have to check with them it's genuine Weber and not a copy.

Will this be suitable? Craddocks don't put much information on the pages. https://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/da2126-weber-carburettor.html

😂 I think a Weber will be ordered shortly. Any where you recommend getting a kit from? Once fitted I can then get someone to tune it and check the timing.

Thanks everyone I think this information has confirmed its most likely a Zenith copy. The next step now would be to fit a Weber?

Carb is off but is it a copy? There's a tag with the numbers 4085. I can't find any other stamps.

The carb looks quite new which makes me think I had better check to see if its a copy.

They don't cost much and I'll make a note to replace them sooner. Thank you Anaconda for the sound advice, ill have a look at Simonbbc ignition parts. I have wanted a series Landrover since childhood, it's my dream car! I've been researching and looking for years, but I have zero practical...

They take so much oil! 🙂 I'm already half way through the 20l tub. It took me all day yesterday replacing the oils, I made sure the plugs were all cleaned up and soaked in fluid before attempting removal. They hadn't been done in while, one of the plugs had been rounded off, mole grips got it...

I got stuck in today and treated the s3 to some lovely fresh oils. When starting it up it threw it's toys out of the pram and ran worse, not idling well and running rich. The only thing I can think of is I cleaned out the fuel pump bowl and added fresh oil to the oil filter bath. 1.Clean fuel...

Ah yes I'll be needing one of those. I've cut some of my garden hose and added a funnel, but I don't know if it'll work until I've tried it. But for £9.99 I may as well get the pump too.
