i had the same quandry but mine is fitted with a wash/wipe and heated window but neither work. so instead i fitted a Jansite rear view camera and screen in place of the rear view mirror and then i can see even better than if the rear screen had been clean and demisted.

cheers dude, i'll take a look at the earths. it doesn't come on when the door is opened but the voltage doesn't change either, with the door closed and moving the switch to on i only get 1 volt. the earths seem the likely culprits so i'll clean them all up until i can get 12v at the light housing.

the interior light appears to have failed on my defender, someone has retrofitted an LED bulb by soldering the tails to the original light bulb tabs, however when i measure the voltage across the tabs i only get less than 1V even with the switch set to on , admittedly thats with the bulb still...

Gave it a good snow foam wash and swapped the headlight bulbs for 150% brighter (allegedly) Halfords H4 bulbs. to be honest they are better than the ones it had and give it a better dipped beam pattern and light. High beam is really good too. hopefully if its dry tomorrow i'm swapping the rear...

i had the same issue when i came to take my rears off, couldn't stop it revolving. the thread was buggered anyway so i ended up buying two new Terrafirma rear shocks and intend to swap them soon. have just bought this today to help get the old ones off and the new ones on!! filter strap

Tried to get the front bumper bolts out but they are not moving even with BulldogBDX applied. looks like i need a new set and sacrifice the current ones. also clean and reblacked the front grille and headlight surrounds

Hi there, should there be backlights behind the heater controls? the ones for the heat level and the direction and also the fan switch? mine aren't lit but could do with being lit from the back if possible. Car is a 1997 110 defender 300tdi if that helps. cheers steve

Hi, i'm 6'4 tall and could do with more legroom so going to lower the bulkhead and then fit extended seat rails. also planning to build a bed in the back so the extra legroom will be needed. then i can put the front seats forward and extend the bed over the bulkhead with a foldable extension piece.

Ordered a set of Terrafirma rear shocks and steering damper, an engine service kit and a bulkhead removal bar for my 110. looking forward to fitting them all. used JGS4x4 and they seem really good so far.

Bought a full length galvanised roof rack for my 110 of marketplace. 120 quid. think that's okay. needs a good clean and is missing one bracket but i can live with that. no just got to work out how to mount my spare wheel up there.

nice work!!! i need to add my leisure battery under the seat, assuming it fits!! plus i seem to have 3 "factory" holes in the battery box that need plugging!!! need to find some suitable sixed grommets!!
