Partner going to have a look over weekend and we going to charge battery but it definitely had a check engine light

Hi I think battery completely dead as nothing lighting up and iam not sure with remote think it's got 2 buttons on it before it died the check engine light came on then went off then came back on really dim so I've just been informed
